Rohingya Response in Bangladesh

Registered with the Bangladesh Government’s NGO Affairs Bureau since 1981, Tdh has been actively engaged in the health, WASH, and child protection sectors. Since 2017, we have been working in the Rohingya refugee camps and host communities, building strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including local authorities such as the RRRC, the Inter-Sectoral Coordination Group (ISCG), the District and Sub-District Commissioners’ Offices, Camp-in-Charge (CiCs), health focal points, and community leaders.
Heath: Health programmes seek to strengthen access to quality healthcare services and facilities, including mother and child health, for both host and refugee communities by providing direct services, systems strengthening and increasing the skills of healthcare workers.
Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH): WASH programming aims to increase access to quality WASH services, whilst strengthening the inclusiveness of facilities, through community empowerment and awareness raising.
Child Protection: Child protection programming aims to enhance the protective environment for the most vulnerable children, adolescents, family units, and communities, including those affected by the Rohingya refugee crisis and climate-induced displacement, through the provision of comprehensive community-based activities, psychological support, case management, and formal systems strengthening.
