Project summary

The project Protection Support for Rohingya Refugees in Cox’s Bazar [Phase-4], funded by AAR Japan and implemented by Tdh in Teknaf’s Camp 27, focuses on providing comprehensive protection services and enhancing community capacity to address protection risks among Rohingya refugees. The initiative prioritizes psychosocial well-being, especially for adolescents, through community-based approaches at individual, family, and community levels. 

    Project goal

    The project objective is to enhance and ensure access to psychosocial wellbeing among adolescents through community-based approaches at individual, family, and community levels. 

      Key activities and achievements

      • Conducting Community-based Awareness Sessions on Child Marriage, Child Abuse, GBV. Till December 2024, 437 (of the target of 600) individuals were provided with the Community-based Awareness Sessions.  
      • Conducting Participatory Action Research (PAR) based on YouCreate methodology with adolescents and youth. Till December 2024, 60 (of the target of 100) youth received PAR sessions. 
      • Providing Positive Parenting session to parents and caregivers on childcare and support. 80 (of 100 targeted caregivers) caregivers were provided with Positive Parenting sessions.   
      • Providing individual Mental Health and Psychosocial (MHPSS) support through Problem Management Plus (PM+) to the individuals who have been suffering from mild to moderate level of mental health disorders and other practical problems. 26 individuals (of targeted 30 individuals) were provided with MHPSS support.
