Project summary
The “Strengthening Protection Environment for Rohingya Refugee Children” project, funded by UNHCR, is working to protect vulnerable children in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar, including camps and host communities. It is supporting 43,820 individuals by: providing child protection services, conducting structured and non-structured psychosocial support sessions, supporting families with family strengthening program, engaging communities to promote child safety and well-being.
Project goal
The goal of the project is to keep refugee children safe, protected, and able to fully enjoy their rights by implementing comprehensive child protection activities at all levels of society
Key activities and achievements
- Supporting children through case management and one-on-one psychosocial support with PM+.
- Providing structured Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) for adolescents and youth through Khushir Khorak, YouCreate, and Girl Shine sessions.
- Training caregivers with Positive Parenting and Girl Shine Caregiver sessions.
- Engaging community-based committees and youth groups to lead initiatives and outreach efforts to reduce child protection risks.
