Momena Begum – SPiRiT

Join us as we empower socially excluded adolescents and youth through the SPiRiT (Sports For Protection, Resilience and Transformation) project funded by the Olympic Refuge Foundation.

SPiRiT utilizes globally tested and contextualized toolkits and curriculums and aims to create safe spaces for 10,000 vulnerable adolescents and youth, including 500 with disabilities, who face the heightened risks of unplanned and uninformed climate-induced displacement in Dhaka slums and Kurigram district.

We are inspired by Momena Begum, a Community Facilitator for the SPiRiT Project in Bangladesh, who beautifully captures the parallel between sports and the fight against climate change. Her words highlight the resilience and determination needed to overcome challenges. SPiRiT serves as a beacon of hope, using sports as a catalyst for positive change and empowering our future generation.

Together, let’s champion the power of sports and join hands in the global fight against climate change!
